- Meet your Sinza Safaris guide at your Kigali hotel after breakfast and receive a briefing about the route, border formalities and gorilla trekking arrangements.
- Drive south-west through Rwanda's terraced hills to the Cyanika or Katuna border, completing the required immigration procedures before continuing into Uganda.
- Proceed through the highlands toward Bwindi, with a lunch stop and scenic views of terraced farmland, small towns and Lake Mutanda area where the route allows.
- Arrive at your lodge near the confirmed Bwindi trekking sector, check in and prepare waterproof clothing, walking shoes, snacks and a small daypack for the next morning.
- Overnight: Bwindi forest area. Meal plan: lunch and dinner.
